Welcome to my blog! My name is Carrie and I am a newborn and baby photographer based in Canberra. Photographing these little ones makes my heart happy! I am also mum to a gorgeous, cheeky little boy, a beautiful baby girl and wife to the best man in the world! Thank you for visiting and I really hope to see you back soon!
….I’m working my way through editing Georgia’s newborn images. I’m grateful that I have a place to share them as it spurs me on. I have big plans for a beautiful album when I’m finally up to date. Whilst she didn’t have beautiful creamy skin (what would the total opposite be?? Haha) which is slowing down the editing somewhat, I am loving being able to look back at the images of my perfect little girl and remember those magical first weeks. Of course, I think they have all been magical x
The past few months have been truly amazing. Wonderful. Magical even. I have been able to spend so much time with my babies whilst keeping work to a minimum. Now that Georgia is almost 6 months old (where did the time go, right??), I will be opening up more availability for newborn, baby and maternity sessions. I will only be taking a limited number of sessions, so if you are interested in having me capture your beautiful growing belly or your sweet baby, I would love to hear from you.

Like watching a rose blossom and unfold, a new baby is a precious gift. So perfect and unique in every single way. It is a true privilege to witness such beauty x
The truth is, I’m not really sure what to write tonight. It has been an emotional day. A good day, yes, but full of mixed emotions as I sent my 4 year old to his first day of preschool. I spent the day cuddling Georgia (not sure I put her down much at all!!) and whilst she slept, I edited some more of her newborn images. I will admit, I have been avoiding doing this. It hasn’t been an easy task but I am glad that I finally have some more images to share from the session Anna and I did together. I have so many more to go, but I’m on my way and a gorgeous album and wall art will be the reward!
Two beautiful baby girls. They fit perfectly together. They moulded into each other, their chests rose in unison and they startled in sync. They were so connected and for those of us in the room, it was impossible not to feel the magic of their special bond. Thank you Danielle for inviting me along to this very special session. It was so wonderful to leave my camera in the bag for most of the session and simply focus on these perfect little girls x
On this day, 5 full months since Georgia was born, she finally reached her sweet little toes! I am ever so proud and eagerly awaiting the day she learns how to munch on those sweet toes!!
I’d love to know what she is thinking in this moment. Does she know she is looking at her beautiful self? Is that why she smiles so? Or does she believe she has found a new friend? I guess I will never know. I am, however, grateful that I can capture these simple moments. This is something I have vowed to do more of in 2012. Much, much more of!
There is so much beauty to be found in the quiet moments. Some times we just need to remember to stop and take it all in.

We are such a lucky family to have made many beautiful memories. And to have many of these captured for a lifetime, well, that is just priceless to me. I could not place a value on that. Just like I could never place a value on the wonderful friendships I have made in my lifetime. One such friendship being the one I have with Anna. Anna and her beautiful baby girl came and stayed with me and my family when Georgia was just a week old and we had the most wonderful time cuddling and photographing Georgia together. We work so fluidly together and seeing Anna place my precious baby girl in my husband’s arms and, allowing me to get in front of the camera too, was simply magic. I’ve been enjoying my family time and meeting other growing families so much that I’m only just now looking at the images we took over that wonderful time. Here are just a few for now.
